BIO

Samuel Helmbreck (he/him/his) is an oil painter from Michigan. He graduated from Albion College with a double major in Studio Art and Earth Science. His work depicts possible experiences, struggles, and futures that are the cause of environmental issues, negligence, or degradation. He has shown work at the Kalamazoo Institute of Art, the Edward A. Dixon Gallery in Dayton Ohio, and more. Sam’s current work reflects themes of freedom deprivation due to man-made environmental hazards in conjunction with joyful imagery.
